right on dan- go to the head of the class ha ha. checked base timing today by bridging pins in plug in fuse panel then timing light- bingo. auxilary gear must have jumped a tooth when my mechanic was installing the cam and head. base timing is 50 DEGREES ADVANCED!!!

time after time i hear that s**t..... happened to me too.... took the car into the local mechanic for a simple cam swap and the d***head gave it back to me with the timing completely f**k, gained no power at all, i thought the cam was f**k till Macxr8 accidently snapped a timing guide while doing the head gasket a few months later which forced him to reset the timing...... and voila!!!.... gained 30kw @ wheels!!!! |

my mate had the same thing when he put his cam in, after a week of it running like a dog checked base timing and was like WTF
