Hey all,
Went to start the car to head to work this morning, and the f**k thing wouldn't have a bar of it.
Turned the key, ignition works fine, sounds like it is trying to start but never has a hint of turning over. I don't know what going on, like it's getting no fuel or something? Kinda like what happens when your immobiliser goes off, lets you turn the key but won't start. Now, thing is, I don't have an immobiliser...

It's a 96 EL Fairmont, dual fuel and it won't start on either petrol or lpg... but it was running fine yesterday (did like 200k's and it was fine, except for one backfire midway :S).
Yes, I have checked there is fuel in it :p.

CRT-LP fuse is teh one yo're thinking of. IIRC 10AMP? This fuses the BEM, which will stop the car from starting.

If theres clicking going on and the battery is fine, its probably the starter relay.

So the starter isnt turning over??

Lol - would have pointed the blame at the "bloody LPG system" but sounds like these guys are on the right track with the BEM.

Yeh its most definately the CRT_LMP fuse, It has happended to a couple of people on here including me. The car turns over but never looks like starting. The one in mine was a 30a fuse so just replace that and see how you go.

hmm... that would be a problem isolated to just lpg or petrol, not both, surely?
