Well I am a bit
 about my dyno run.I only got 166KW and 644NM Torque out of her. Thought I would have gained a bit more HP  Kept on getting wheelspin so we had to strap it down real hard as it does not have LSD and the dyno was in a back shed and the car was on a fair bit of an angle sitting on the rollers. It is the first time I have done or seen a dyno so not sure about it all .

Hi Snapp
I heard alot about these underdrives etc, but can you tell me what exactly they are/do? I am also looking at getting a custom tune once i have finished with my mods. I currently have a full 2.5" hurricane exhaust system as well, seems to have made such a difference already. I am still to get the CAI and then a custom tune to really crank the power but obviously want to do the tune last so i wasnt really sure on what other "cheapish" mods i could do before the tune Also you got any info on a custom tune vs generic, you still get a new ecu right?

The underdrive is the harmonic balancer which has a smaller circumference area which drives the belt allowing the engine to rev a little easier resulting in a few extra KW at the wheels , make sure you put a 82 degree thermostat in as well as the waterpump spins a little slower using these but are not a problem. I got a Turbo snorkel and a F6 lower snorkle from FTG SALVAGE for the air intake also K&N filter. The SCT X3 flash tuner come from KPM with 3 generic tunes Tune1 - allows the engine to only rev to 3000rpm - if you lend your car they cannot abuse it. Tune2 - 95 ron fuel. Tune3 - 98 ron fuel. I would not bother with the generic tune just get the unit and get the tuner to put them in for you. There was a big difference from the generic to the custom tune thats for sure . My tuner uses Herrods program . I think his XR6T is the fastest in Australia so he knows what he is doing. There is not alot to do apart from that as my car should pull early 14 sec for the qtr he reckons and still have good economy for those few mods that were done. To get any more out of it you will have to go with a turbo setup or go with NOS . Have fun

That dyno sheet was the best run but the wheels spun , we ran out of time on the dyno so I will get another done soon and see what I get

thanks for the info mate, yeah i am definitely only going with a custom tune. Which unit do you recommend? So you are using the SCTX3? Are there better ones out there?? Sorry to sound stupid just don't really know alot about it - only know that i need to get it
 Also how much rough for the under drives? if its only a few kw game i probably wouldnt bother but if its a cheap mod then why not

SCTX3 are the latest ones out , get them from Herrods or KPM or the tuner should supply them.
About 300 for the underdrive kit I think , look on ebay . They claim to get 10 to 15 KW at the wheels , check out youtube . Every little mod helps mate so do em all and enjoy , I think the air intake mods cost 150 that I did and 90 for the filter . 750 for the custom tune and dyno . 800 for the SCTX3 but that was with the 3 generic tunes on it so I think you should get the unit and custom tune for around 1200 off a tuner roughly I think .

Ok i might look into them after the body kit and cai are done, then look around for the custom tune, 1200 isnt to bad, i was thinking its more like 1500 plus. anyways thanks very much for the info mate!
