Ok so i couldn't find this so i post a new topic. I am thinking of sticking my flash tuned EL tickford engine into a EF fairmont Ghia (nice upgrade from my EB mont). I want to use my dizzy not the EF coilpack set up. Basically all i want to know is, i want to change the engine loom etc so i can run My EL tickford ECU with my EL engine. Can i do this? IS it lot of mucking around? Do i just change the engine loom or more?? Dont know myself that why i ask the FM boys.

I think you will find that in addition to swapping in the EL engine loom, you may also need to swap in the EL Dash loom and BEM etc. The dash would have to come out anyway for the Engine Loom swap. BenJ

I guess you already know the different ecu's have different pins, and therefore different harnesses, making it a bit of a task.

Ok that sounds about right, dash n all i thort so. Yeh mate i know all about the ECU's having diff pins etc. Hate EF coilpack set ups should stayed with the dizzy...
All i was thinking is there this EF fairmont ghis in blue i know is goin for auction im thinking of buying it, n sticking all my good bits from my EB into it. Hey does anyone know if some EF Fairmont ghia's have tickford options in it, some ive seen dont. Just curious

why not just stay coilpack and swap engines?

Ok skidder, i would but i just had my EL tickford ECU chipped, flash tuned watever n want to keep it the way its timed nicely n i dont want 2 screw around with it. I goes so hard i luv it, so i dont wanna stuff it up.
 I have to track down an EF tickford ecu n yeh i realy cant be bothered........
