Most definatly, yes they can. There is a guy on ebay at the moment who is selling red powdercoated BBM's for exchange of your old one. If this isnt your kettle of fish you can also get them jet hot coated, polished or even chromed .

My advice would be for jet hot coating as it lasts and wont fade
