it's also alot healthier, like alot of things in life, wetters just better..
polishing &/or removing material without wetting down is fairly harmful to yourself and others. wearing a mask is geigh in summer and also doesn't help others, or yourself when you clean up down the track. wet or dry (wet) is heaps easier. also removes material easier as mentioned.

I use a 10.8V rechargeable Dremel and that has always preformed well. There are loads of different Dremel attachments available. I reckon a few flappy paddle wheels should do the job fine. |

For best results, finish off with 1200grit, then autosol. If you were using 80grit and 120grit only...I'd say go an extra step and do 400 grit, then 800 and then 1200. Finish should be like a mirror after autosol

i hate bunnings i went there to get some sand paper today and spent near $300 on s**t,
but i got my self a dremel gun and some other usefull little bits so should be bit easier now |

well after many hours of sanding i was starting to get depressed when it was not looking that great so i said FK it ill polish the first runner and if it looks good ill keep going.
after a few mins of polishing i could see a huge smile on my face from the reflection. amazing how a little polish can make a huge diff here's a pic of the first runner polished runner 2 and 3 have been sanded working on the middle now

Used it on the idle speed control solenoid, the broad band manifold vacuum actuator, the thermostat housing, power steering pump bracket, and few other bits and pieces. Just spruces the engine bay up for minimal cost (just time). Basically, any time I have to take a bit off, I clean and polish it before putting it back on. Don't have the time or commitment to try the manifold or rocker cover though.

i had mine done ages ago, another good product is Meguires All Metal Polish, comes up a treat!
