Ok Guys,

Its been a while coming, but here is my first dyno read out for my ITS Performance Stage 3PS kit (160rwkw). As you will note she is running rich. This is a problem I will overcome with a few more tweeks. Once the AFR is sorted she will probably soar above 160rwkw.

Thats ITS Power. Hand in hand with Hyenas QM times.

As you can see from my signature I will install a Haltech Interceptor Engine Management System. I have been told to expect anything between 25-40rwkw with this system. Obviousely you would not get this type of gain on a standard engine, but with my build I can expect great gains.

I will post up another dyno sheet once the Haltech is in. I am aiming for 170-180rwkw.

how driveable is your stage 3ps?
I'd like one, but i want my car to be easy to drive and not have trouble idling etc..

The car is very driveable, with the stage 3 cam, you wont have any trouble with your idle etc.... I wouldn't have my car any other way. Its a great build and worth every buck.

Good result Shugg, very close to Marks quoted 160kw considering you're running a bit rich. I'll be keen to see the improvement with the haltech

Yeah,

I am lining up the Haltech for next week. Fingers crossed. I have spoken to Mark. He thinks I may be able to achieve results equivelant to his stage 4 or 5 kit.

Very impressive Shugg  Was wondering, is the Haltech similiar to the unichip interceptor computer or does it have better features?
Cheers, George

I must say that I havent heard much about the unichip interceptor, however, have a gander at:

www.haltech.com.au/interceptor.htm

This should be able to answer your question.

Is that rich?? I would think its not too bad considering my AU has an air fuel ratio of 10-11 all the way. What is you target air fuel ratio ??
I will be going unichip next week to try to sort the issues. I am currwently getting 125 rwkws only with my ex taxi motor and dev 4 cam only.

My AFR:P ratios are averaging between 11-12, I have been told that I could achieve more power by leaning out into the 12-13 range. This is what Mark has told me and also what the guys who are going to do my haltech chip have told me.

From the sheet, you can see that my power curve dips about the 130Km range, thats also where my AFR:P drpos down into the mid 11'ns. If I can level out the AFR:P at that level, then I should see the power curve go higher, instead of dipping.

I don't know much about this stuff, but I would say that you are running very rich and if you could lean out some more, you would see some extra power gains also.

Around thats speed I think you will find that most bbm cut in and the hump will show on most dyno sheets on switchover. I would be really happy to see you get 180 rwkws. Its not really a common thing.Good luck and let us know.
