Hi guys

I picked up up the turbo, wastegate, manifold, intercooler and some tubing today.

If anyone remembers or knows there falcons back to the ea's ford had a monster involvment with mazda and svo producing the ( EA SPAC SVO SPECIAL ) and yes you guessed it was a TURBO, i did not beleive it at first until i seen pitures and a magazine article on one,So i had to chase info, even some of the staff at ford had no idear and told me to WAKE-UP then one day one of the ford staff had an intrest in the topic and talked to some of there long time old employee's and wallah there is still 2 guys there that were involved in it. They gave me heaps of handy info the EA ran 8psi but in testing they boosted to 12psi which put the car over 300klm p/h and a stagering 207rwkw they produced 27 of these vechicles only, and 13 brought by staff as the project was droped because turbos were not a big thing back then and didn't see the posibillity of their future. That is from the horses mouth.

Yes that is what i got my hands on the left overs and some testing parts that were sitting around. They are trying to find drawing for me and this is going to get interesting, some of it looks dodgy were they have modified the original exhaust manifold and the intercooler pipes changed location.

Any one who has info on this please contact me as all will be aprieciated.

Hey there,

i'm interested in a STAGE 3 for a manual ED falcon. Most of what i've read seems to indicate that this is an engine exchange program. How does this sort of thing affect complaince plates and also ECU's? For instance if i've got an ED, you'd need to supply me with a engine that is EEC IV compatible right? or would you say use an AU block and supply with an EEC V ecu?

Or do you also do work on customers own engines to avoid this problem, therefore with the different engine blocks and heads, how can you guarrantee performance?

I don't mean to sound negative i'm just making sure that i'm doing a lot of good research for the right product before I slap down perhaps up to $5000 for the right product.

do prices quoted include installation... i live in melb and dont know whether my current engine would survive the drive to syd... so if they are cheaper (cos i'd install it myself) i'd love to know :) either way is cool though

I might answer a few of these if Mark doesn't mind seeing as he's not online that often.

Ian, Mark usually does them exchange so you drive in and drive out in one day. If you want he can rebuild your exisiting one but you'll be without a car for a few weeks. ECU wise there usually isnt a drama as you use all your existing stuff and it's largely the guts of the engine is that he's building. Having an ED you'd want to look at getting the broadband manifold. I'm not sure exactly what's involved with the conversion but a few people have done them so do a search or Mark can provide more info about this. I'd think going from EECIV to V it'd be a bit of d**k around with all the electrics etc but yeah I'll leave that one for Mark :)

Exchange engine wise you will have different engine numbers but you just have to go to a blue slip inspection place and then to the RTA. I think Mark said it's about $30 or there abouts, but I haven't gotten around to it yet!

Distortion, the price does include installation but if you're having it shipping then it'll probably work out much the same for postage as installation.

Yes it runs twin throttle bodies and never had a drama before only lately i have incured a fuel problem (way to lean or to rich) had them running perfectly for around 1 and a half years. The fuel problem is in progress to be sorted.

Show me dyno results then I'll beleve, I've be flamed and had arguments meny time's on this forum and others when I've proven the results of my car with the JJM stuff so as you've all said to me show me proof!! I'm not doubting his abbilities or rubishing his product, he is cheap I work in spare parts and was a machanic and it would be a very small margin he's making to sell the kits for what he is.

Jeez some of you are comparing the supra to a family car and then want the thing to run 12's seriously go get a supra or some kind of rice to be fully hectik as for my car its already proven that its fast enough "got the ticket"

The new year ill be getting a nice combo built by mark as to pricing and his no Bullsh*t view on things guys im sick of hearing that jim mock is the man as ive seen the results and they havent impressed me.

Never said he was the man, Just saying show the proof on paper.
everyone bad mouths his product because they've gone half assed about using it thats why they don't get the results he shows.
I am using his product and it works for me and has delivered the power he promised. I'm not saying marks won't I don't know the full break down of his kits and if it work and delivers the power he claims good to have another I6 specialist cause god know we need them.

Mark's figures have been dyno proven and his own car has frequently put out 170+rwkw on a few different dynos.
I'll happily put up my dyno sheet and time slips when the time comes.
