Even if you buy one of these cats (in the link below) and supply it yourself it will save you $200 - that is the most overpriced thing on that quote... my exhaust bloke says aftermarket cats are a waste of time though, unless you need bigger ones for your bigger exhaust or worked motor.

$1230 for a exhaust system is the bigest rip off

or the headers from superplus.com.au $300 for normal ones

then get either redback or lukey 2 1/2 exhaust with one middle muffler for $300-50 plus extra for a tip and they some one to fit it .and if your cats f**k get a new one they wuill be able to tell when they pull the old system off

it should cost $800 MAX

ive done abd said this many times before..buy all parts through somewhere like sprints, and just pay fitting you will save heaps. my exhaust stats:

extractors: pacy comps- $360 (shop around they will all try to beat each other, real winner? - you)also bought from exhaust shop.
cat: high flow $300 (from exhaust shop) would have got from sprints but didnt know was fkd till getting rest fitted.
exhaust: full Lukey 2.5"cat back. 130 (orderd through sprints, all exhaust shops quoted 350 fitted, however just fitting was $50 - still done mine at home.)

sumed up only thing through sprints that would have been more than i paid was pacy comps. SHOP AROUND AND PURCHASE YOURSELF

Or shop around, and find a place that's not ripping you off blind.

Jim MOck does extractors and exhaust system and fit and tune for about $1100. He also knows what he is doing. No resonance with his systems either
