Guys i have an xf 4.1 efi engine with a modified cam and head. I am getting wear on the intake lifter on no1 all the time what would be causing this. The head, the rocker, the lifter bore and obviously it is affecting the cam lobe as well.? :?:

Maybe the wrong cam installed? Have a look at the cam and see if its wearing away.

Yes the lobe wears away. How di you know if its right or wrong. wouldnt the people who make it know .

Sounds like a lack of lubrication problem on that cylinder lobe :roll:

have you had the back lash ajusted ? it might need some shims under the fulgrems

No i havent i dont know which way to go.I have all ready had the engine pulled down and new cam shaft and lifters, everything so something else is the problem.

If the head is ported,polished maybe even shaved, do you have to work out what sort of cam has to go in or do you put what ever in.?
