hey guys i got my intake, looks great but i have an ef afirmont and i dont have a pcv valve so do i just block that up or what??

also i have a gas system which incorporated into my existing intake. A pipe from the conterver goes to the mixer just before the throtle body and on the one there now they had to cut the intake to get it on??

any ideas?

Hey mate
just block off the pcv valve with a rubber boot or some sillicon
If you have gas you will need to drill a hole into your intake in order to fit that id imagine

so did anyone clean the inside of their intake first? mine has a fair bit and grit and filings when i rub my finger on the inside.
going to have to get a rag and run it through... dont want to use any water etc (rust)
and ill be dammed if i can see my pcv hose either? though i didnt have a real good look the other night. but now that i know where abouts it is (since i can see it on the new intake) i will have a better look tonight.

Got mine yesterday and it looks f**k s**t hot!!!!! Anyway gonna put it on tonight. Anyone have any dramas with fitting a pod filter on the end of it and did anyone have any problems fitting it to an au series 2. I know the series 1 did. What would you guys recomend to spray on the inside to stop the moisture(if any) getting in. Some say there will be moisture and some say there won't be, I just want to be safe.

Any way great job again guys( what project is next on the cards)

Cheers

We can supply brown paper bags and cans of paint for "Chroming Purposes" or for the serious "chromer" we can suppply garbage bags and paint!

LOL! - sorry couldnt help myself

Chrome plating - may be something to look into - what would you get done? rocker covers etc?

I have a Fairmont ghia S1 & the bonnet is the same as the S2/3 AU's & the XR have the S1 Forte bonnet. So what is the difference. None I gather. You would find that some lined up better than others. It still is easy to modify if needed.

How about a mass strut brace run. Could get red to match intake and would be piss easy to do. Never seen them advertised anywhere.

I second the idea for a run of strut brace's. I wouldn't mind getting one of those soon.
