if its a auto a high stall converter , and some fideling with your solinoids to change into gear faster, and also a chip.

cheaper then opening the head.

RustyEF mate what is your plans for this car ? A show stopper or strip machine ?

How much would u actually seriously fork out on your motor or mods....is there any sort of torque or HP/KW/RWKW figure ?

Tell us what you really wanna achieve and heaps of guys on here will be able to tell u exactly what u wanna hera...where to go to get it done, how long it will take, how much it will cost and what the end result will be.

Everyones ignoring the obvious!
Suspension and brakes would be next on my list.
Actually they would have been first, but meh...
But after that, on the engine side, bit of headwork would do the trick.
Depending on your goals really, but a bump in comp and some mild porting won't do any harm.
And then once it's all done, a chip of some description to top it all off and get your ignition and fuel right for all your mods.

Well to be honest ive got the suspention done, lowered, i am doing custom body kit all around. and new paint job next year!!

But its just the engine, i want just enough power, so i dont have to changet he Auto, but will be putting a manual in it by end of next year.

so im not to sure how much RWKW the auto could handle
I have a tickford engine, will be getting the new alted Satge 3 cam, no chip is needed to be replaced, it can be used on original chip.

So what would my best best be? high stall convertor, bump the compression , new plugs, leads, I Have a good intake at the moment.

i might even turbo it late next year, but for now NO!

Ive got a lil money to play with at the moment, $1200
a little extra cash i made this month.

cheers kyle

change your diff gears! go to 3.9's or maybe even 4.11's (if you have the xr 3.45's in there alread).. or go 3.45's or 3.7's if you have the standard falcon ratio already.. It will take some stress off your gearbox and motor as well, as they wont have to labour as much. Plus it will give you a lot more acceleration. I dropped .3 seconds off my quarter mile time by going from 3.08's to 3.7's... by far the best bang for buck mod I have done.

im not sure what stainless valves are actually for, but jim mock put em in my head package, and they are in all his dev4-5-5a packs...

Probably a waste of money!?
