Hey all finally got my new car.
I was looking for an xr8 but found out couldnt insure one! 
Anyway I ended up getting a 10/97 EL Ford Fairmont. Only 140,000kms. Electric sunroof,full leather interior,stacker and all the normal extras!!! Also was a one owner with full servive history!!! And is heritage green. Now to start mods................................................................... 18inch chrome wheels slam it Nice exhaust subs 15% tinted windows Will be getting done shortly.

Sounts pretty impressive matey, is it a v8 or the i6?
Post some pics up too, sounds sweet; what did you pay if you dont mind sharing with us?

It's very nice  Though I believe he's having trouble at the moment with this shortage of Premium fuel, since his car pings on regular!

No, he said he couldnt insure an XR8 (HP vehicle according to insurance co's.) Where as a ghia with v8 isnt considered HP like the XR8. Im told its cheaper to insure a v8 fairmont ghia than an XR6 with racv. Either way its a great sounding car, and pics pics pics

Yeah its only a six. But it drives real nice and it doesnt feel that much slower than my old car ( XH ute man, 14.8 1/4 mile ).
Ill start to modify it this week. And got it for $9000. And for pics, I dont know how to post them up.
