I'm not looking foward to the day somone with say speedway background comes on and claims 215+rwkw, and he leaves after a barage of abuse. Much better ways to get to the bottom of a claim than acting like a bunch of absolute brainless monkeys.

My gf's father until recently (health problems) was a speedway driver and built his own cars. I can tell you having been pit crew for him that the people in speedway are rather knowledgeable, and are highly unlikely to come on here and say

forged everything
14:1 compression
7000rpm red line with cam and porting to suit
running methanol and huge carbys

god knows what power they could get out of one, but I'm sure it would be plenty. The fact is that this motor would be useless in a road car, as it won't run on pump fuel, won't idle etc. Infact I know of one 4L engine that is making a claimed 300rwhp and runs on (presumably) methanol. The engine was built by KEC here in perth and I'm pretty sure its going in a speedway car or a circuit racer.

Its not inconceivable to make this kind of horsepower, what is inconceiveable is doing a 13.2 with 195rwhp (which is what I'm assuming he got and now assumes he's got 195fwkw). Even with 3.9's etc it just isn't possible. With nitrous however I'm sure you can do it easily.

Lets see a dyno print out, a time slip etc. Perhaps also a list of the _other_ parts used to get the time, ie what shot size etc.

Just because its not the fastest NA doesn't mean we all don't want to know how you got a 13. Nitrous is a good option for people who want to run fast numbers at the track and who don't really care about having a seriously fast car on the street.
