i was looking at nitros kits on ebay after watching some youtube videos of a bloke doin "13s for 1300" and hes goin to put a mini spool, nitros kit, and weight reduction and try to pull a 13 on the quarter mile, is it legal if you have a nos kit in a road registered car? and how easy are they to install if any ones done it? and can i run one on the stock motor with no/little modification

theres a vn dunnydore round painted up like a yellow taxi thats essentially stock with bolt ons and nos and it's used as a drift car.

doing something like this reliably with a daily driver however..... you're dreamin'

awsome cheap intermittant power for a non-registered fun car.

ok, i was just thinking put the kit in it for a cheap power increase for some runs down the track and i wouldnt drive it on the road with the tank in or anything stupid

with nos, it will still need more fuel and dyno tuning aswell..
its just a different method of forced induction.. so to much nitrous, to much timing and not enough fuel = an extremely short engine life or even a spectacular boom....lol

yeah what Troyman said.. your stock motor will handle a 100 horsepower shot easy, of course providing its a good motor. ;)

ahhk so j3 chip, and some bigger injectors? also i read somewhere else that you need a pretty good exhaust to get its full potential, is that true? thanks

like any car mate. chuck a little bigger exhaust on it :D and it free's up a bit and allows it to breathe better. just did that to mine and now going for some extractors.

yea i bought a 2.5 inch exhaust the other day and my old muffler was completly stuffed and since i put the 2.5 inch cat back on its saved me lots of petrol and got more torque, i wouldnt mind changing my cat next, things as old as the car i can only imagine how blocked up and stuffed it is on the inside

spot on mate. mine still has that sluggy pick up off the line though as they do with the stock cam and extractors. once above 2k rpm's it picks up well. noticed my temp gauge is usually just under normal so another intake is going on to. 4499's next. high flows apparently arent much better from stock everyone reckons since the stock ones still flow pretty good.

Some d**k head with only half a brain opened 1 side of a gate instead of both and told me both were open as I backed out the back quarter got side swiped by theedge of the gate, it doesnt look as bad as you think but you wouldnt think a gate could do that much damage

ahhhh s**t... still. i know how you feel mate. usually anything after the EA they start getting a bit flimsy with the quarters an such. went and looked at an AU xr6 the other day. clean and straight but its a hard decision to make when you'll miss the old girl. -_-
