So I appear to have an oil leak from the front of the engine. I was wondering what common places to leak are? I'm pretty sure its not the oil pressure sender and it *looks* like it might be the timer cover (but want to see if there are other avenues seeing as thats a s**t to replace gaskets).
Thanks, Thomas. |

possibly the rocker cover right at the front in the crescent, they are known a little to push out there. have you looked? degreased the motor and then checked for tracks of new oil?
I would suggest you look after a degrease.

Most common big leaks at the front are the timing chain tensioner and the front crank seal.

Okay, well if I reseal the timing cover I may as well redo the tensioner seals and main front seal whilst everything is apart - and the rocker cover seal at the same time. Thanks, Thomas. |

They leak from between the timing case and head where the "c" gasket goes
