just recently done head gasket on me EA, just wondering if i have to re torque the head bolts after driving it for a while ???

If you retorque the head, make sure its cold, and no water in there, and do one at a time.

The Head bolts are torque-to-yield bolts. Which means they are designed to stretch when torqued the first time. If you re-torque them they will fail and so will the head gasket.

Exactly. Also the gaskets these days are not made to be retorqued. |
