does anyone know where the remote locking sensor in an ef falcon is?
the red light comes on when i press the remote button, but neither the doors nor boot lock or unlock. I'm unsure how i will fix it once i have found it, but i assume knowing where it is will help.
thanks in advance

hmm yeah i'll give this a go but it was literally out of no where. i press it a few times and all of a sudden it works roughly 1 out of 10 times. i'll see if reprogramming it works though

actually yeah...i'm going to replace the remote battery, it seems obvious now haha.
if that doesn't work, it will have to be a new remote.

My car is Falcon EF series II (Feb 2006).
Last week I twice replaced my BEM/SmartLock module as my older module required a whack every second time to start.
In both cases the BEM module successfully learnt the body system by leaving the ignition on for 30min or a bit more. This was confirmed by a centre lock cycle and the flashing SMartLock returning to normal. :D

I followed the exact steps I did twice before recently replacing my BEM to programme a new or replacement remote FOBs: (Acc on, 3 On/Off demister in 5 sec, centre lock cycle, press one button on each remote at a time, centre lock cycle, press one button on next remote and so forth then switch to off).
After changing the BEM twice and following the previous steps, remote programming never worked and no centre lock cycle occurred. :!:

I realised that a fan on the passenger side is humming when Acc is on despite the fan is switched to 0 (off). This might be the reason or something else, please advise and many thanks. :)
