Has anybody heard of using the ISC from a previous model and sticking it on your EL to see if it smoothes out the I6 idle problem?

I think i remember some guy saying he chucked one from an ED on his EL and now it works beautifully?? Are they different ISC's?

They are different. The EF/EL has a slightly bigger passage through it and also a breather

I have an ED one on mine and I get a heaps of induction noise which is really annoying.

Its not a good induction noise. At first I thought the idler pulley bearing was stuffed, then I realised the noise was comming from the snorkel

I dont know if it would be better or not - I swapped only cos the EA-ED was easier to wire up the my MS2. I suspect not though, they are not that different. Anyone who finds it works probably had a stuffed/dirty ISC to begin with.

Try cleaning yours out with carby cleaner and if that doesnt work try a restrictor plate betweent he ISC and TB

Is carby cleaner OK for the rubber compenents inside the ISC?
