A mate has just had his BA XR6-T modded to 395rwhp.

The problem he has is that it seems to break down and hesitate around 4000rpm. Really loses power before coming on strong again at about 4500rpm.

When it breaks down the dash chimes and an "S" in a circle flashes before coming on permenantly.

We have looked in the Ford book and it shows the light on the picture of the dash, but doesn't offer an explanation of what it means.

Can anyone tell us?

Thanks,

well the S in a circle is the 'spped alert' that tells you you are going above the speed you set in the speed alert memory

now why its coming on only at the specified revs and not the actual speed (im assuming) may be a different story

Thanks for that......i've never come across it before, so didn't know what it was.

Guess it's only under full noise, the the speed in gear at those revs would be the same every time!

With the 'S' steady the speed alarm is on
When the 'S' is flashing the car has exceeded the set speed.
