Hey guys,

I know its probably been asked 101 times and here it is again, so i'm sorry :P

What Spark Plugs and Leads do you recommend? Going to go buy some new ones tommorow so I just want to know what your thoughts are.

I only use NGK Plugs, for a EF here are the part numbers.


NGK BPR5EY-11 gap 1.1
NGK Iridium BPR5EIX-11 gap 1.1

I use NGK plugs, don't know the part number.

But my leads are Eagle 9.5mm

I think it can be said quite easily that NGK plugs are the way to go.

Personally, i would recommend Bosch Leads, they're the ducks nuts.

You get what you pay for basically.

i make my own leads using topgun spiral 10.5mm in red
and use denso plugs W20exu with a 1.3mm gap

Top gun or Eagle leads are good.
I'll be different here and say I use Autolite 985 plugs and have no reason to change. They work extreamly well on my car.

Yep i say go NGK plugs and Eagle leads i have that setup on my XR atm and it seems to work flawlessly. :D

I wouldn't touch TOPGUNS I have had nothing but trouble with them in the past. Bad Quality with the Boots falling of the Leads etc Then after 6 months had to replace them cause they were arking out and giving me Flat spots while driving. I changed to Bosch ones a year ago and have no problems since. I also only use Bosch plugs now as well.
Supercheap Auto got 20% off tommorrow as well
