Not sure which section to ask this in.

Is there a way to turn the throttle around so it faces left, rather than right? (Much like the FG)
Would the FG throttle body work on a BA/BF?

Thanks in advance.

i have thought of doing this myself.
only 1 thing troubled me, it looked as tho when i turn the top half of the BBM around it might make the long runner shorter and the short runner longer and in the end both runner's may be the same length.
i am planning on giving it a try, but if you do it can post what kind of result you get i would be interested to know.

ahhh... never thought of that, good call..i just looked at it one day and thought that would be cool..

so in order to do it one would need the top half of a FG BBM

So how would one go about flipping it around then? lol

Only reason why I asked was because I saw a throttle body on ebay a few weeks back for about $300, and seller quoted that it would fit straight up and it faces to the left rather than the right. Haven't seen it up since, and can't remember who the seller was. Would be a great little mod, as I want to get another stainless intake made up, as I went back to the factory intake piping because my 3" intake was rubbing on the bonnet lining and causing mad vibrations

well the FG is designed to go to the left and i assume by this thread that it will bolt on.

turbo ghia cut the centre section out turned it around and had it welded back in..

process west do a throttle body relocation, but its only a piece of bent pipe with 2 flanges that puts the throttle body near the airbox

Some guy uploaded a picture of his BA Xr6, he managed to fit a FG inlet into his engine bay.

Couldn't hurt to ask there as well?

Check out my link I think that's basically what the dude's done to his BA.

FG Inlet. The gains would be quite a bit but the "operation" would be quite difficult.

That link you posted LNR123, he picked up 19rwkw just from the TB conversion!!
I think that would be worth the effort and the cost... especially for a NA build. I wonder what it would sound like :D

Have done this to my car. there is an increase in top end power but its a bit flat down low as well as increased fuel consumption. Was going to get the car tuned to suit the new manifold but have decided to remove it instead.

Which car did you do it on? And how did you go about doing it?

here's a link to my build thread. There are a few pics of how I did the manifold. I used the std Ba engine wiring loom and wired it to suit the FG throttle body The manifold is a simple bolt on.
