ok then, what about VX fronted (whats that model vu isnt it) ute - ss automatic.. 10 grand spent on bits and no s/carger with slicks on the back does 10 second 1/4's kind of eye opening for a ute to be doing that. that was at the ipswich willowbank i think raceway

VU SS has an LS1, so with a blower it'd do 10s no worries.

Just noticed too 80crm, what's up with your mate who has a "VS" with a dirty old "VR" motor in it??? That would be like me putting a 4.1 litre XF motor in my XR6...

hey, in all fairness the ecotec IS a piece of s**t.

In all fairness the 3.8 litre VR donk is ten times worse than the VS donk.

I would own a VS, I wouldn't even touch a VR!

O.K. I'm sorry. I can't hold back any longer. WHY? Why has he done this?

Maybe this will become a new trend. EL owners will start putting EA motors in their cars. VS owners will install VP motors. BA owners will start wacking in AU motors. Lancer owners will start installing proper motors in their cars. Things will just suddenly turn around......

Hey, there's nothing wrong with the Lancer engine. well the 4g18. the 4g15 is a piece of s**t :p.
the 1.8 can handle about 150 at the front wheels with bolt ons. for a 1 tonne car that's damn good power.

nice call stockstandard! I think that if you really want to see who is faster is to really test it.

The reason i got a EF over the commodore was because the features were heaps better. Saftey ford have always been great in. Holden JUST pass it. And just in general the VS is the same as the VN just different lights and int. Plus the sotck commies of the same time as the EF's didnt have air bags. My EF was cheap as well.
