Nothing wrong with castrol magnatec 10w/40. I use this oil and today its 37C ambient temp with the a/c on at idle my oil pressure is sitting 3/4 on the oil pressure gauge. Engines done 177000km. Oil and filter were changed at 172000km.

have just found that the car seems to run nicely after a service but after like 2000ks it feels lumpier and more lethargic. I guess this is to be expected but there is no harm in trying something else.

I am also having engine temp probs but i think they are fan related. Recently i drove from brisbane to hobart and within the first couple of hundred k's going over cunninghams gap i had to pull over to let the engine cool down. I think this is cooling fan related so i will make another topic though.

From what I've been told Motul is number one with Penrite as number 2.

All the rest are crap.

Penrite is at the very bottom of the crap list. They just have a good marketing department.

Penritesemi synthetic is what your talking about.. Their full synthetic range however is actually quite good s**t and recommended by many engine builders
