Has anyone here tried "Lukie" or "Walker" extractors? .
I know that paceys up are near the top of the list (the comp ones) But just wondering if anyone has had / tried Lukie or Walker (I think they could even be the same brand) And then changed to paceys or anything like that? . Or how much the lukies/walker's made over the standard exhaust mainfold. Any opionions or your own exprerices with them would be great . Or maybe I'll just get my own ones made up ![]() Thanks. Antony. |

Lukey make good mufflers but their extractors are only mid-range. So nothin special there.
I don't know about Walker extractors, but I'd definately recommend their cats.

I've got a set of walker extractors on my XF but also a walker 2.25" sports exhaust as well as the extractors.. Very noticeable improvement over stock. The difference with me (cause my car was running poor to begin with) was not even the slightest bit of wheelspin when booting it around a round about with a stock exhaust and then having the back step out a fair way with the exhaust. Also in the wet in a straight line just stomp on the gas and the car will break into wheelspin. Even at 60kmh. Very scary ride.
I hope that helps you. |

Im about to drop in some Advance extractors, I have seen the Holden pacey Vs Advance Dynos on the same car.
I have been told this is the same throughout the range (Even though it is limited). Advance Extractors are Manufactured in Adelaide also a website

Problem was it was different circumstances. I looked in the Lukey/Walker book/catalogue the other day, and it only lists one type of extractprs for the I6 SOHC Falcons - which are these oens (one exhaust bloke told me that they used to be called the Walker Motivators, now there called Lukey LPH516 - or something similar): ![]() {DESCRIPTION} Compared to say the Pacies, there something inbetween the sotck manifold and normal extracotrs, like there not very long and don't go right down. Retail on them is over $500 at Repco (Rip Every Poor C*** Off) and 310 at Carline. I was running them with a modified stock cat (read gutted cat and modded front flange to fit the Lukeys on) - i found at about 2,500 the exhaust not got really louder. I got a 2 1/2" hi flow cat converter fitted, new oxygen sensor and Pacemaker comps. There was more power down low off the line and that. But fuel economy didn't differ really. Exhaust not was slightly quieter, although the point were it gets really loud seemed to happen earlier. Basically not a huge load of different. Would of been itneresting to see if they were running on the same cat set ups - there's too many different opinions on cat converters - some say hollowed ones do more bad for performance than good, others don't think a lot of hi flow ones are really hi flow - but i wanted my car to be legal and wanted the exhaust to be a tad quieter (although it's pretty much the same now that the cats worn in a bit). If I was buying extractors new, I'd put the extra dollars and get the Pacie Comps, as for second hand, get what you can if the price is fair! But the Lukeys are usually a lot cheaper, like carline gave me a discount over retail and that, so there a good entry budget set. |

I bought my whole exhaust system...inc PH 4480, walker Hi-flow cat, lukey Mandrel Bent 2.5", plus stainless tip for about $1100. So its say they'd be around $650? - $700???
