The needle will still move but will give a higher reading as the resistance is higher, from memory if the plug is removed from the sender the needle will go to max on the guage. Other way round. If the wire is removed the gauge will register nothing. If you touch the wire to ground the gauge should go through the roof. Incorrect... at least with my car. My EBII with pressure sender, not switch, was disconnected for ages and it always read full defelction (is maximum). |
