A smidge over 149rwkw.

Will have it re-dynoed one day. Hope to crack 150.

It's been a while since someone has posted to this thread, nobody have updates or care?

I've got a fresh motor & T5 5spd in my car now, have extractors and a better cat to go on soon as well. So hoping i'll have a run on a dyno to get a printout in the next month, will be interesting to see what it puts out.

Cheers

quarter times are the only thing taht you can really get a comparable reading off
you will get different readings from different dynos
ie Jim mocks said mine was 135 and i went to aps dyno and had 123

so you cant really compare, where as a quarter time doesnt lie

You could have two cars with equal weight, KW, trans. one has standard torque converter and standard diff gears. the other has a 3000rpm stall converter with 3.7 diff gears, ay?

im not sure what to think of this, if its true or s**t...

i got told today that the value engine kw = the value of rear wheel horsepower

as in 148kw = 148hp at wheels

so does it seem true or bullsh*t

well, 148hp is 110kw. So yes, as a rough guide this would be correct assuming a 25% loss through drivetrain.

i dont know were peolpe get the figure of 20 to 30 % loss through the drive train this is untrue its 12 to 15 % depending on condition i know this as my friend of many years has just had the only full digital dyno in australia installed by dyno dynamics here in brisbane through years of racing and mechanical work and experience. so maybe some of the technical operators of these dynos should pull there heads in. this is not a slur aganst anyone that has posted here its just people are missinformed.
