Just spoke to ford about what options my 97 Futura came with – and apparently there was an “Option 98†which the guy says wasn’t on the option list sheet. Anyone know what that was??
I also noticed mine came with the “Sport Suspension Packâ€. Anyone know what came with that?.

Ive got no idea what OPT98 is. To my knowledge, theres no hidden options on the car....
I was hoping its a blueprinted engine!

my previous ef had sports suspension and it didn't have any option numbers.
i've never heard of opt98

That would have been my guess, but I didn't think that the hybrid motor was an "option". Then again the RPO "option" on XA GT's wasn't exactly an "option" either 
We need an answer on this. It's gunna give me the s**t. I've been searching on the net with no luck! Aaaaarghh! |

The intech 'balanced' engine wasnt an option it was brought in in the last of the els... and wasnt RPO83 the option for all the good stuff on the xas??

I rang ford and gave them my vin - and he went away and told me how it rolled out of the factory...it had the usual like air con, 4 speed auto, trans cooler - also the "sports suspension pack" (sweeeet) but he said it also had "Option 98" which he said wasnt in his book....
OPT 98 is my lazy abbreviation - it doesnt say this anywhere on the car. So what the F**k is Option 98? I cant find a code list on the net....

Dunno. Those who know me, know that I tend to dig a little deeper than most Ford Partsguys. I will search EVERYWHERE to get you an answer. (yes I will more than likely lose sleep) will post tomorrow all going to plan.

Partsguy - you are my own personal jesus. Appreciate it.
Its most probaby some pissweak option like special seat colors or something. I dunno....Although apparantly it was bought new by a Ford dealer in Geelong who owned it for a few years - so might be something interesting. Rear wing perhaps?? It does have a factory wing.

maybe its the passenger's-side airbag it was available as an option.
