Hi guys, I've undone everything bar like 2 or 3 bolts on the back of the inlet manifold (cos s**t bbm shape) and I haven't cracked half the studs on the head yet cos my breaker bar probably isn't long enough (450mm).

Dont forget to loosen the timing chain tensioner and zip tie the chain to cam gear.

I'm guessing I'm meant to poke something around inside the hole? no pun intended

The trick with the intake bolts is to undo & remove all the lower ones first. 450mm breaker bar will work, just means you won't need a visit to the gym for a week....

LOL I know right. tbh I had the idea of using a metal pole or broom handle on the end of it to give me more leverage. I think I'll give it a go cos I want to make the job a bit easier on myself. By the way, say if I didn't undo some of the bolts on the intake, when I get the head loose would it just come up with it? allowing me to undo them with the head off the block?? cheers lads |

Make sure you have removed the chain tensioner....all of it.......zip tie the top sprocket in place as well, before undoing the sprocket bolt.
