ok thanks guys i'l do that and see how i go with the coughing in gear in the morning it could also be uni joints that are flogged out thank guys

well i just changed the dizy cap and rotor button and reset the base idle but she's still the same hmmm what a b**ch to do the cap

i cleaned my throttle body, replaced the Air temp sensor, fixed a vac leak to the fuel reg, and put a new (second hand) all that has gotten rid of my morning cough and splutter

still got a slight shake at idle and a is low on power. having my mechanic reset the timing next time its in

i had the same problem with my ea, replaced coil, dizzy cap n button, map,air & coolant temp sensors, computer, changed plugs and leads, only thing i didn't change was the oxy sensor...

when i had a manifold leak the car made a whistling noise.
change the gasket your self its pi ss easy
