hey guys i was wondering if an au xr6 head would fit on my ef falcon? i was told this is an au xr6 head.......

I don't know about it fitting but on the e series xr's they had the tickford eagle on the front where the timing chain goes thru 8-)

i'm pretty sure that is an el motor. au's had a squarer looking rocker cover i think. not sure if the au's got painted either.

getting back to your question. an au hp head should bolt up but a vct one maybe not. not sure on either statements though.

An AU XR6 head will fit on a EF. Need to use AU rocker gear and cam though.

Easiest way to tell if its an AU head is to check the temp sender location.
AU's have a temp sender mounted in the back of the head.
Can't an AU head be used with E series cam and matching rocker gear???
I remember reading about someone on here that fitted a Crow cam to their late EL hybrid. Ordered the wrong cam, so they changed the rocker gear to match the cam.

Looks like an EL rocker cover, but looks like its got an AU fuel reg.
