installing a head unit in the tissue box location, has anyone used the exisiting aerial. if so how can i access it ?

Easy as, the aerial connection is at the bottom of the ICC. Once you remove the tissue box holder you will see the factory connector (almost just hanging there - just disconnect it from the factory location and plug straight into the aftermarket HU.
