Heya everyone!
A month ago or so I bought a new DL LTD, it's all bog standard, no driveline modifications, no suspension modifications, all standard audio, all standard etc etc etc, purchased it from the original owner who bought the car back in 1997. ANYHOW, I've been itching to find out what these 2 things are for: Attachment: 005.JPG [ 411.2 KiB | Viewed 231 times ] Attachment: 006.JPG [ 301.16 KiB | Viewed 235 times ] The first picture is just next to the drivers sunvisor, it looks like it's some kind of audio microphone device? The second picture is obviously an antenna of some sort, it looks like the antenna is factory fitted, it'll also unscrew for when you wanna take the car through the car wash, I'm thinking these 2 thing's are connected? Thank's for looking

Thats funny,
My nf lane has the antenna as well, but no handsfree thingo. Never bothered to find out if it did anything or not...

Yeah it for the handsfree kit.

Is the "handsfree" kit factory from ford? or is it aftermarket?

one of my fairmonts had one in it but it was different to that one, id say itwas factory because it had the arial in the glass on tha back window

I reckon it's aftermarket, my EF had one too, but mine had some sort of box thing mounted under the drivers seat, witch was poorly installed with self tapping screws that were all bent/rusty/f**k and they caused all sorts of issues when I wanted to change my carpet, had to attack it with an angle grinder.

It will be for an aftermarket Nokia kit.
The antenna was factory but. You could option it and the cable was just in the boot.

So I need to be looking for some sort of "box" under the driver's seat, back seat or boot?
What's this "box" for?
