My fiance owns a '99 AU Falcon Forte (Series 1). The current soundsystem is the standard Ford single din radio/cassette player.

My fiance would like to install a CD player in the car, however, I have noticed that the sound system surround is not flat, it is curved. I assume this would cause an aftermarket system to not fit snugly and neatly?

If anyone has an aftermarket sound system in their AU I would love to hear any suggestions or advice you may be able to offer, photographs would be excellent as well!

any cd player will fit no dramas

teh au head unit is only slightly curved
thsi is my alpine HU mp3 player with 3 sets of preouts
lights up red too!
