When removing the old head unit from an Au series 1 and put in a new smaller head unit how do you get rid of that gap that appears above it.

how have you fixed the gap below it? pocket etc...

iv installed the smaller head unit in the original h/u and also tried a bracket from eBay and a pocket but wasn't happy with them...
