i just went to repco and they have FUSION splits there almost half price! $130 down to $71 are they a decent brand that will give me a nice sound?

I don't want spectacular eardrum bursting sound just nice. They will be running of an amp too.
there was also clarion too for around $70 and Jensen aswell.

And also will 6.5" fit in my ef fairmonts doors without mods?

*****NO**** they arent any good (maybe just above stock gear). Well the green encounter series anyway. The powerplant gear seems to be a bit more decent. I love when my mates buy the s**t and put it in the bin shortly after

Rubbish. The factory Pioneer splits with an amp will sound better...

Clarion base stuff is, pretty basic. Jensen = rubbish, again.

Depends on your budget mate. You generally get what u pay for when it comes to Car Audio. I like my Alpine stuff, Pioneer is good for the price you pay they are probably your better choices for good quality.

For that price, I'd go with the Clarions.
But like others have said, you get what you pay for.
How much are you looking at spending?

For $150?? Id wait and save up another 150-200 and then get something that will be decent. I spent over $1500 on my last system and was the bloody best investment i eva did :-), the sound was awesome.

Full Alpine Type R system with a mono block soundstream amp. The head unit was a Alpine media Player IDA X305. Bloody excellent it was!
