Looks real neat open but how low did you have to go to clear the bump on the upper dash, was it almost 2.5 din? Pics with screen closed would be great as im looking into one for my EL.

Joolz, screen doesnt close, thts how it is. Its not a closing LCD one,the LCD remains like how it is in the picture, the LCD opens towards the front to put the CD in. CD actually goes at the rear of the screen.

Ahhh i get ya. Sweet then as i think almost all of the screens that come out have problems with the bump on the dash. Well you have completed a very neat and tidy install. well done.

Does the screen hit the T-bar knob when it slides down to put in a CD or anything?

Looks good, I did the same kinda thing in the Coupe I had, well worth it!

Awrite guys after my post i was away as i was installing few lights in the car like lights in footwell, rear lights under the rear air con. windows and front Kenwood speakers mounted. Now i have to answer all of your questions. First one, it doesnt hit the T-Bar when i open the LCD,even if the T-Bar is in parking position. I got thid HU from their website itself. These HUs are pretty good and i am very happy with the built-in amplifier of the unit, I wasnt expecting a good sound from this unit. With this Hu i can turn the volume higher and higher without distortion. It got DVD/Mp3/Wma/USB and SD card reader,Rear AV-in,Amp output,AV-out. Overall a very good HU

Another aswer to the asked question, its not touch screen, its fully remote controlled with few control availlable on HU itself like Play,Pause,Stop,Next,Previous,Power and Volume. But cant browse the Mp3 Cds without remote easily,Cant turn on Shuffle without a remote. It have got built-in Surround,Em loving it.

I have the same unit but touch screen, very happy with the unit overall and don't forget the built in TV tuner, I have just bought a new TV aerial and a reversing camera which I am installing over Xmas break. Only thing I had a little trouble with was fabricating the mounts. In all great unit for a great price.

I got the one that sticks to your front or rear window and has 12v power to it. Looks like rear window demister strips. Haven't hooked up yet, will be doing that over xmas but am told they are very good.
