Replaced the std tape deck in my EL GLI with a cd player, now I'd like to fit the tape deck to our second car... but I don't know the PIN, and we no longer have the EL having updated to an AUll wagon.
Anyone help? |

You should have some rego papers or something floating around for your EL. Grab the chasis number from it and contact Ford, they should be able to tell you the 4 digit number to get it to work again.

U have to go to the nearest ford dealer with proof of ownership and theyll give u the pin, costs $11 too.

i have heard some dealers charge up to $30
unless you know some one who works for ford

how do they know what the pin is only by the chassis number? maybe someone should find out how they do it...

they have acces to ford's databes amongst other things.
if you know someone who works for ford it owuld be wasy to get for free

yup as it takes about 2 secs to get the pin number.... u might need the radio serial number as well

no s**t i got charged $10 because he said he had to go into the ford mainframe to get it, like f**k it took him about 2 seconds to get it, whatever happened to customer care, $10 for doing f**k all
