Well i guess car audio is a hobby.

Maybe i should get a job at a car audio store then write it off as a business related tax expense.

I dunno aaron why you havent already done so...not so much full on with installations and so on cause with ya normal job and the pyrotechnics that would get pretty full on...but yeh...just doin retail sales...why not...im sure it would generate interest on her if you could supply cheaper components something ive been wnating to do for awhile...just dont have the cash to start the business...keep modding my in car entertainment system lol

Yeah i have been offered a fw car audio jobs over the last 2-3 years including a couple recently but i dont have ther same enthusiasm for just selling stuff as i do disscussing it, competing and giving advice. I guess it would alsonfrustrate me when someone comes in and asked for advice and then ignored me and spent the same money doing something that was not going to give very good results.

i.e. when someone askes about a nice system and you say 6.5" splits up front, 6.5" 2 ways as rear fill and a single 12".

They then go and spend the same money and get 6.5" dual cones up front, 6x9 5 ways for rear and 3 x 8's. They end up with worse sound and a much more difficult install for the same money.

hehe yeh tru but oh well youre gonna get crap like that with most business choices :P

Hey in the end tho its no real skin of your a***...you gave the advice they choose to ignore it you still get paid even if the work is still slightly more annoying...but thats y u do just retail i wouldnt bother with many installs...maybe some fabrication work every now and then....everyone loves those a-pillars so yeh could be an ideal venture but who knows

Yeah well over the next month or so i might make up a set of A-pillars and see how much time and money it costs and also the kickpanels and offer them for sale.

If it is viable then I will make them as a changeover

I like the idea of writing the number 1 sound system in oz car audio off as a work related expense. That would be so sweet!!!!

hey aaron. maybe u should just open up ur own custom car audio store. im sure ull get a lot of money out of that. and do pyrotechnics as a side thing. =D a constant amount of cash flow and also a lump sum when pyrotechnics comes into place. it'll be hard. but close the audio store when u do pyro stuff.

phong =P~
