hey guys i recently went and got a quote for a my ba xr6. i asked the guy what he would recommend and said to go for mid range. he said Alpine 6" splits in the front and matching 5x7 in the back would set me back $675 incl soundproofing the doors to minimize rattleing. i asked what it would cost incl an amp and sub he said a Polk 4channel amp and Polk prefab Box &Sub + the speakers would cost $1600-$1800.

my point is i have no idea if thats a good price or not. and if the stuff is any good. can anyone tell me if those brands are good? also i have no idea what model the speakers are :?

sound proofing is expensive, and labour intensive = not cheap.

If you want to save money, don't bother upgrading the rear speakers at all.

But if that price is all installed (installation includes labour, plus all the extras, wiring, fuse, terminators etc.), its not absurd. However without actual part/model numbers for everything it's impossible to get actual pricing.
