I used a little sheet of industrial grade Velcro

Cut two thick strips of it off, used tarzan's grip I think it was to put it on the bottom of the box (this was a carpet outter box) and the same medicine for the boot lining.

Wiggle the Velcro together. Haven't slid around since. or tipped over for that matter

I forgot to add - the rear seats didn't hold my boot's carpet lining in place enough, therefore the sub just tipped and pulled the carpet with it. So if you do try this, make sure your boot lining is stuck to the panel. I used the gripping glue for this as well.

As suggested, velcro works well.

Could also make up a bracket behind/either side which screws into the hump over the diff.
