I think a lot of people will say the Jaycar subs are good and cheep, and ill have to agree with them. JL used to make them, but are out of production.

i use to run a jaycar 8" free air in the parcel shelf

it worked, but to be honest, if your going to enough effort to mount it, set up amps and cabling, it isnt worth it.

it lasted all but 3 weeks in my car

spend the money else where and get better 6" for the back / front

but thats on a bit of a tangent, the jaycar one is relatively good, gives lots of cone movement and sounds ok for what it is

keep boot space

the 8" can fit into the parcel shelf

maybe a 10 could fit...

Yeah get a 12inch that doesn't need a huge box, a sealed small box are the way to go for small spaces.
You better off with a 12inch that doesn't pump out alot, though needs a small box, than an 8 inch that pumps heaps for the same size small box. (Both subs with around same rated power and same size box, the 12 will go alot better, as most people will know)

hate to burst your bubble but the 10 won't fit.....you can make it fit though if u are willing to use an angle grinder to grind some off....if not find a 10" or even a 12" free-air sub and do what i did....get a plank of MDF...cut the hole...and then run it at the back of ur seat.....u keep ur boot space and u have bass. thats if u don't have a gas tank....

phong =P~

can make a 10" fit quite easily just need a raised up section into the parcel shelf which can also look pretty cool...but obviously this guy wants it on the cheap....mate id be goin a semi-decent 10" sub in a small enclosure and fill the enclosure half with Dakron....the sub will think an perform like its in an enclosure twice the size ;)
