Well, after releasing my stripped torx screws, rewiring a lot of stuff, etc, etc...it came time to put in my head unit and amp-metre.

This is where he problem starts...

I have an EF Fairmont with the Premium Sound system (double din) and no matter what way I mount the head unit and amp-metre in the current brackets one is either sticking right out, or there is a huge gap between them.

So, has anyone made custom brackets for this model car? Or models alike?

If so, what did you find to be the best material?

Put some new holes in the factory brackets that line up with the threaded holes on the headunit.

or do what i did and make up a bracket the same as the factory one out of aluminium and drill it to fit perfectly
