whats involved in completing an xr conversion on a ba/bf is it as simple as a bumber bar and headlights or do the gurads have to be changed as well.

cheers

Like everyone's said dude,

LH/RH XR headlights
LH/RH XR spotlights
BA/BF Bumper bar
Front grille
corresponding lower bumper grille and grille insert (BA only fits BA and BF fits BF)
Sideskirts
Rear bar

The globes clip straight in for the headlights, might need to add bottom spotlight wiring if your base or futura doesn't have it already.

Rear bar is funny... its exactly the same height as the standard bar, yet it looks lower when it's on the car... fits straight across, no probs!

***Have a mate trying to sell a rear xr bar if you're interested?

***Shoony.. I'm in the process of getting some GT factory (read: not fibo crap) sideskirts, if you're interested in getting some too, PM me, I'll let you know what price and all the other crap)

I agree with samuel - I did mine because you cannot get a Pearl Blue XR - looks different.

I was quoted $750 here in adelaide for all the parts to do the xr conversion. All i would have to do is get the bumper painted in kasmir (still waiting to get a quote on painting)

dude, that's pretty cheap... I dunno what second hand parts go for, but retail is a b**ch!!

You'l be hit hardest on the prep and the colour itself for your quote. I walked into my favourite panel beaters with my bar in undercoat and a tin of paint and they got it done for under $100, they supply clear... otherwise it would've benn close to $300-$450. The bars are a b**ch to prep!
