							I would give the hot water a try, but first i would take the mesh out and cut a couple of 4x2s to fit (one for the top and one for the bottom)and you would have to pour a couple of liters over it slowly, so it has time to heat up the plastic.
 
				and then when its good and hot, clamp the wood on it with a couple of G clamps.  |

							i dont want to take the mesh out - it was fitted with silicone from the inside by a crash shop - they did a real good job - and if I take it out, Im not sure i'd get it back in as nice.
 
				I like the Idea of some G. Clamps tho - that would still work without taking the mesh out wouldnt it?

							as long as you can get big enough ones that will reach,
 
				and if you cant borrow any, you could always go and hire some for half a day. they only have to be there until the plastic cools down.  |
