its a little difficult to get the tail light appart but if your patient it and dont rush they can be pulled apart . i used a stanley knife that i heated up with a gas torch and carefully cut along the join then carefully pryed the lense off. i spent about 1 hour and a half on each light. and i used black silicone to seal it back up .. i have read someone else has done the same thing using a dremmel to cut around the join of the lense.. |

i picked up a pair of damaged ones from the wreckers, removed the brocken lenses buy simlpy brakeing small pieces off at a time with a pair of multigrips, then useing a dyegrinder with a metal grinding bit i removed the rest of the lens from the back/reflector section. to remove the lenses i had another set of taillights(with good lenses), i used the dyegrinder to carefully cut into the back section around the lens and then just cleaned up the lenses with the dyegrinder...
the garnish was a bit of a fluke... in one place it started to come away from the backing, so i just used a paint scraper and gentley pushed it around the join and it came apart really easily... |

it looks really good, well done. I also reckon if the red bits were black it would probably look even better.

Should have left the red in the garnish and brakelights, stops the red reflector bit from looking out of place.
Otherwise, good job, I know how time consuming it is! I gave up when I cracked a garnish lens ![]() Did you paint the colour behind the garnish lens, or what? Cause its a pretty good match compared to others I've seen.
