Polish dosnt work anywhere near re-painting them. It'll cost you a roll of masking tape and some news paper and a can of monza red paint , ive done it to my EL and have had so many people tell me how much it brings the car back to a new fresh look. I can post pictures if you like.

yeah itll make the car look sharp again! if the polish doesnt work ill have to paint...
thats when haggling comes in! hehe i bought a tickford au3 intake from there, they wanted $65, i walked out with it for $30!

Just added them up and i would sell them for 800 including GST to. The list price for the front 2 is 176.80 each, now thats ridiculous

Yes the price is s**t! Especaially when u look at the price of an ef red one and compare it to an el one!? Worst bit is that the door ones are obsolete for efs but still avaliable for els!? Any one who good spare good ones in ef's might be sitting on something worth while!? |

i ditched the idea of buying new ones for obvious reasons!
i ended up just using some car polish on them, then went over them with some trim detailer and they came up magic! i know its not a long term fix, but its good enough for the show and shine this saturday!

Can one of you guys look up the price for a full set of black ones for an EL XR? I am getting my car resprayed and the crash repairer quoted me approx $500 for a full set new from ford.

Why don't you just remove them? or do they have holes?
I've seen a few without the side strips so I'm guessing they don't have holes... |
