Can anyone tell me what the gold spoke chrome rims that seemed to pop up on the EF and later Falcons? I think that were probably on earlier models, but I have only seen them on the ones stated. They would look really sharp on my 72 galaxie. They would have to be
'15's or bigger though. |

I think they were snowflakes? Came out on the E(B?) 'mont. I just dont recall if they were gold or not?

I think I know the ones you mean, but I probably should have described them better. These are a wire rim and they are probably aftermarket, not factory

hard to see from your photo, but they look like the hub is a larger diameter than the V5's. I remember there being more gold. The V5s are the closest so far.

Mullins wheels many manty moons ago made a wheel called the Cross Spoke Special... very similar to a BBS wheel (unsure of the name) that was made at the time...
There was a wheel that was also available on the EB?? that was silver (very similar to the BBS wheel) and was an option on a Fairmont I think....

They are actually BBS wheels the same as the BMW 5 series wheels.

I now have enough to do both trailers and the car (with spares that's 13 wheels) and will be doing the gold centres' per the Simmons/Mahle wheels of the 80's-90's.
