3 weeks ago.. i had my car booked in at "Auto tech" all day... hung out with green machine all day.. brainstormed and come up with the idea to each buy a pair of EL sedan tail lights and get "creative" with a can of "Tint shades".... here's the results.. rice or nice?

Tools reguired...

*sharp stanly knife.. (V to cut electrical tape..)
*grey electrical tape.. (to use for shapes)
*Tint shades..
*can of clear finnisher..
*1200 grit sand paper.. (to snad off tint shades rough edges)
*alot of patience..

Looks good except for the round circles over the indicator, that ruined it for me. I just liked the black framing around the lights...

i do have 3 pairs of tail lights..

*EF clear indicator lights...
*These modded eL tail lights..
*and the Clear ebay tail lights..

i know its not quite to every ones taste.. but with no experimanting you will never know! and is all about "what fordMODS are all about"..

just being different is a good enough result if it looks OKAY on a whole.. more pics of rear facing centre shot will be posted tomorrow...

Hope this inspires people to atleast try some thing a lil different/unique and a lil "out of the ordinary"...

I had a look at them on the dyno day on Saturday - I do like the 'flame' look, looks really good. I don't think you can beat the red/clear (no orange) setup of the EF tailights though.
I think they look better in the 'real' than in the photos.
How do you go for rego purposes ???
That'd be the only pain is to be defected by the coppers.
One thing I did notice was that both your tailights had a fair amount of condensation inside (correct me if I'm wrong).

Top marks for experimentation though - most of the time you don't know how they'll turn out until you do it.
