hi all! just wanting to know if any one has put 20" on a BA XT falcon and had it passed through regency and what you had to do to it to make it legal?

If you go to the vicroads website, or whatever state you're in, it has a list of the legalities.

For victoria it's something like no more than 2" bigger than the standard rim for that model or series. For BA, the XR8's had 18's so 20's are legal. Then the diameter is allowed no more than I think 24mm increase. So you need to run low profile tyres. But yes, it's very easily legal with a BA.

And they look sick.

yea in SA you can only go 2 sizes bigger than wats on ur tyre plakard! i rang regency an they recon id need an engineers certificate! i just dont wna give em any reasons to go over the rest of the car dats all! to much utha s**t to get defected for!

Easy solution, buy a BA XR8 tyre placard, they had 17's standard with optional 18's, problem solved, 18 + 2 = 20.....

I've got 20's legally on my BA XR8, hardest thing is alot of 20" Tyres have the wrong load rating (I got Nankang NS2's) & the widest you can go on the front in 245/30R20.
